Commercial construction

Connecting construction opportunities with sales execution.

Tender intelligence and CRM for a commercial construction business.

The problem

What needed to change.

Construction opportunities arrive from several sources, each with its own documents, dates and contacts. Deciding which ones to pursue depends on pulling that evidence together, and approved opportunities then need to reach the sales team with the right company, contacts and next steps attached.

When that happens by hand, evidence gets lost between the review and the CRM, and it becomes hard to see who owns each pursuit.

How it works

The workflow, start to finish.

01 · Intake
Capture the opportunity
Opportunities and source documents come in and duplicates are caught.
02 · Review
Score the evidence
Each opportunity is qualified against clear criteria, with the evidence attached.
03 · Decide
Pursue or No-bid
A director makes the call, and the decision is recorded.
04 · CRM
Hand over to sales
Approved pursuits land in CRM with company, contacts and next tasks.
My role

I designed and built the application, set up the CRM structure and integration, and prepared the operating guidance for the team.

What the work included
  • Opportunity intake, qualification and duplicate handling
  • Scoring with the source evidence kept alongside each opportunity
  • Director Pursue or No-bid decisions, with approved pursuits handed to CRM
  • Company, contact, deal and task integration with Zoho CRM
  • Source-data updates that preserve the sales stage already set
  • Audit history, backups, deployment work and operator guidance
The result

Where it stands.

A working path from reviewing a construction opportunity to managing the approved pursuit in CRM, with evidence and responsibilities carried through the process.

Status

Production application and CRM integration. Deployed to production with the CRM integration in place. Additional automated intake sources are later stages and not part of the current system.
